Artist Spotlight: Death On The Balcony
At Underrated we always love bringing international artists to L.A.. If you’ve been with us for a while you’ll see that our lineups for Clinic, Minimal Effort, and our other one-off events always feature talent from around the world.
However, we always have a special place in our hearts for the artists who played their first-ever L.A. gig with us. When that happens, it’s like the artist becomes a member of our family, and quite often they end up returning to our parties time and time again. Death on the Balcony is one of those artists, and we’re thrilled they’re returning to Clinc for the third time.
Even if we weren’t lucky enough to host their L.A. debut, we would bring back Mark and Paul continuously because of their sheer talent as musicians. Their affinity for melody and rhythm has caught the attention of dozens of tastemakers including Lee Burridge who has released their music on his unmistakable All Day I Dream imprint. They’ve also made appearances on Behrouz’s Do Not Sit On The Furniture Recordings, another great friend of ours.
Ahead of their return, we were happy to take some time to interview Mark and Paul. and discuss everything from their first encounter with each other as DJs and all the exciting things they have going on so many years later.
